This is the capital of southern Thailand's Krabi Province. It is a well-known resort town adjacent to the Andaman coast. At Khao Kanab Nam, There are two slanting natural stone structures which rise out of water, forming a local landmark. Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Temple)
Here is located one of the more unique temple complexes in southern Thailand. The monks live and worship within a vast maze of natural caves in what can only be described as an overgrown jungle valley. Centuries-old Wat Tham Sua teaches a form of Buddhism known as Vipassana (insight meditation), and is based on the teachings of some of the very earliest Buddhist texts. The temple started as a small place for monks to learn about Buddhism, and has now grown to be massive. It is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Thailand’s South. There are steps, 1,256 steps to be exact, that rise 280 meters up a limestone hill. At the top is an absolutely stunning 360 degree view.
Hot Spring in Klong Thom
Krabi Hot Springs is one of Thailand’s most popular attractions. Here you will find ‘hot tubs’, which have been crafted into smooth rock. The spring’s water is channelled from an adjacent deep rooted thermal springs, located deep in volcanic chambers. The water temperature averages 35-40 degree Celsius and rich in natural mineral salts which are claimed to cure many health problems, including rheumatism and sciatica. The sensation is extremely relaxing and the surrounding environment is without a doubt unique.
Khao Phanom Bencha National Park
Located just 23 kilometres from the town of Krabi, this 50-square-km National Park gets its name from Khao Phanom Bencha mountain, a rugged 1,350-metre-high peak, which is the source of many of the area's tributaries and rivers. The park offers varied biology, lush greenery, and some of the best scenic areas in Thailand. Khao Phanom Bencha Park is every hiker’s dream come true.
