We Can Arrange Delivery and Collection from your Hotel, Condo or Resort
After a long haul flight, your first priority is to get quickly to your luxury hotel and recharge your batteries with a long and peaceful sleep.
In recognition of this and also the fact that some people just wish to hire a car for part of their holiday, all local companies provide a delivery and or collection service. They will deliver the car to your hotel, Condo , place of work or your house.
In addition, this service is free of charge if it meets with the following criteria the location is within 15 km’s ( depends on supplier, see bottom of page ) of the depot and is within office hours ( 08:30– 17:30). Service can be provided outside these times but be prepared to pay extra to cover overtime costs approx THB350 per hour
Documents Needed For Delivery Service in Thailand
As this is a delivery service with a driver booked to deliver the suppliers needs assurance that when they delivery someone will be there to meet them and sign documents etc for the rental car. This assurance is provided to the rental company by advance provision of the lead driver’s credit card. No payment will be taken until car is delivered. Please also have a credit card available at delivery time for local security deposit. It does not have to be the same card but it must be in the name of the lead driver.
At CarHireThailand we get asked all the time will they accept cash or a debit card and the simple answer is no not on any account. However you will find smaller local companies that will car rental with no credit card . At the moment we do not provide that service.
The lead driver must produce an original copy of the driving licence from the country of domicile. You do NOT need an international driving licence .
The lead driver must also produce their passport, we advise taking a few photocopies of the entry page and first page with passport number etc. In Thailand, non-Thai’s are by law required to carry their passport with them at all times. Thankfully it is seldom enforced, but we do recommend having a copy available in the car at all times and keep one in your wallet or handbag
